Here are my favourite neutrals.
The swatches, left to right (or thumb to little finger) are:
- Polished London "Mauve Mandy" - a purpled grey cream. You can see full swatches of these HERE.
- Covergirl "Everbloom"- this is from the Outlast Stay Brilliant range and this particular colour lasts about 5 days without chipping.
- Essie "Lady Like" - this beautiful "greige" shade goes with everything and best of all doesn't give mannequin hands.
- OPI "Skull & Glossbones" - a grey cream with green undertones. This is from the Pirates of the Caribbean collection so it's quite old, but I've seen this shade at many OPI stands.
- Lime Crime "Milky Ways" - I love the way this looks on my nails, a beautiful cream colour, unfortunately it chips after about 2 days even with a top coat.
What are some of your favourite neutral shades?
I have the Lime Crime MILKY WAYS and it's really hard to apply without it looking streaky and well just too "white" for my skintone. One of the hardest polishes I have to work it.
ReplyDeleteThe Essie's LADY LIKE looks interesting so I think I will go hunt it down.
Great summary of neutrals though :)
I really love the colour of Milky ways but it is quite streaky on me too... i wear 3 coats to get good coverage. Pity it doesn't work on your skin ton. But yes definitely give Lady Like a go... I got it on sale at Myer actually, I think it was around $6!
DeleteOoooh I love this as an ombre, as well as an introduction to new brands and shades! I keep wondering about Skull & Glossbones but.. gosh, it could die on me. Thanks so much for enabling me ;)
ReplyDeleteHehe I see from your instagram that you didn't need too much enabling, nice OPI haul! :)
DeleteLove the look of the Lime Crime one!

Oh I know, it's the best off-white shade I've got, but unfortunately the quality is not the best.
DeleteI love wearing bright colours, dark colours, glitter and shimmer but I have a surprising amount of neutral polishes! Current favourites are Zoya Pandora, Natio Camel, Zoya Harley, Mode VIP and Mode Beat the Blah.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the recommendations! I just looked up Mode VIP... OMG I die, it's gorgeous! I think a trip to my local chemist is in order :)
