Here's a quick tutorial on how to achieve this look. All you need is a creamy base colour (I used Essie Mint Candy Apple) and a complementary glitter shade (I used Sally Hansen Gem Crush in Big Money).
- Apply 2 coats of your base colour and wait for it to completely dry.
- Apply a very sheer coat of your glitter nail polish to the top half of your nail. Make sure there’s very little product on the brush so that you’re dragging the glitter across your nail.
- Once the first coat of glitter is dry, apply another sheer coat but only to the top quarter of your nail.
- Finish with your favourite top coat to seal the look.
What do you think of this nail look? Is it something you've tried or would try?

DeleteThat is SOOO gorgeous! I'm definitely going to try this. I've been admiring Essie's Mint Candy Apple for a while, and think it is time that I buy it! Have you ever tried the Milani glitter polishes? They are really great as well.

Oh you definitely should get Mint Candy Apple, it's the best mint shade I own and trust me I own a lot of them! And no, I haven't tried the Milani polishes. Unfortunately they're hard to find in Australia so i'm yet to try anything from the brand.
