So who are the ladies of Femme Boulevard?
- Chloeash: Lily is a working mother of two who blogs for passion. Read more about her here.
- Teri’s blog Bellachique is all about her latest findings in the beauty world and you can read more about her here.
- Joey’s Space: A space where she shares her journey through life, a beautiful lifestyle blog from Singapore. Find out more about her here.
- And of course now me, Lilit, from Makeup and Macaroons. In case you're new, I'm a part time working mum of a 10 month old boy, trying to juggle a corporate career with looking after my little dragon and of course fit in beauty blogging whenever I can. You can read more about me here.
Ok, enough with the introductions, let's get started.
Nude for New Beginnings
Nude for New Beginnings
Because this is my first post as part of Femme Boulevard, my assignment was to go back to the beginning and do the photo challenge that started it all - nude look of the day. Going completely makeup free was of course not an option, so instead I carefully selected products to help me achieve a no-makeup-makeup look, defined but still natural.

Face
I applied Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse foundation in Nude all over my face, including as a concealer as it's pigmented enough to cover all imperfections. I then set my foundation with L'Oreal Nude Magique* BB Powder in Medium. On my cheeks I used my favourite blush, Illamasqua Naked Rose (review here) as it looks very natural on, and is the perfect neutral pink.
Eyes
For my eyes I used the top three colours from the Too Faced Naked Eye palette (review here). I then lined my eyes with Australis Curve Ink liquid eyeliner (review here) and finished with 2 coats of my current favourite mascara by Elizabeth Arden (review here). I did my eyebrows as per this post.
Lips
On lips I applied MAC Hue lipstick and topped it off with Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Colour Lipgloss in Cameo* to give it a natural shine without the stickiness.
Well that is my nude/no-makeup look. What do you think? Too overdone?
And don't forget to check out the rest of the girls' Femme Boulevard posts. The theme for them this month was "wedding makeup" and you can see their interpretations here. From next month I'll be doing the same theme as them, so stay tuned to see what it is.
