But there are a few products that I repurchase without even thinking about it. And here they are (all links are to previous posts):
Clockwise from top left: MAC MSFN, Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse, Rimmel Lipstick in Pink Blush, Ausralis Voluptulash Mascara, Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil in Black/Brown |
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural: This is great at setting my foundation as it never gives a flat powdery look, yet it have enough pigmentation to provide extra coverage where needed.
Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse foundation: For a long time this was my HG foundation, and I still use it quite a lot. Just lately with my skin feeling dryer than normal I've switched to the creamier MAC Studio Sculpt but come warmer weather I'll switch back to this.
Rimmel Pink Blush lipstick: This is one of my fave-don't-need-to-think-about-it lippies. When it ran out, I didn't even have to think twice about repurchasing it.
Australis Voluptulash mascara in Blackest Black: I received one as a PR sample a while back and loved it so much that when it ran out I replaced it straight away. It has a comb-like wand which is good at separating lashes and giving length. If I need added volume I usually layer it with a volumizing mascara like CG Lashblast.
Rimmel Eyebrow pencil in Black/Brown: I normally fill in my brows with this pencil then go over it with a medium/dark brown eyeshadow to make it look natural. I find it's easier filling in the bald patches with this pencil, as it's not too creamy and doesn't run, than it is with a brow powder.
Honourable mentions
These are products that I haven't yet repurchased because they haven't yet ran out, but rest assured as soon as they run out I'll be buying them again.
Clockwise from bottom left: Illamasqua blushes in Tremble & Lover, Benefit Hoola Bronzer, Too Faced Naked Eye and Natural Eye Palettes, MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation, MAC lipstick in Impassioned |
Illamasqua blushes in Lover and Tremble: My love for Illamasqua blushes is no secret, and these two colours are just perfect. Lover is an apricot peach, so it's great with a tan. Tremble is peachy pink, so it looks good in colder months with paler skintones.
Benefit Hoola bronzer: I've hit pan on my Hoola already, so I reckon a few more months and I'll need to buy a new one. I use it pretty much every day to contour my face and give me the cheekbones I was not born with.
Too Faced Naked Eye and Natural Eye palettes: One has cool tones, the other one warm tones. Both are perfect. I love that the size of the palettes makes it handy for travel, and except for a few dodgy shades most are well pigmented and long lasting.
MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation: I bought this when my skin went really really dry. The creamy gel-like formula hides flakiness and provides medium to full coverage. During warmer weather this would feel a bit too heavy, which is when I'll switch back to the Maybelline Dream Liquid foundation.
MAC Impassioned Lipstick: This is my all time favourite lipstick ever. I've blogged about it many times before. It's one of those lippies that instantly brightens up the look and makes me look more put together than I am. I'm surprised I haven't bought back-ups already!
Are there any makeup products that you repurchase or are you happy to discard the old and try the new kids on the block?
Love the rimmel pink lipstick in the first photo.
ReplyDeleteHow does it go for long-lasting?
it's one of my fave lippies! lasts about 4 hours before needing to reapply which isn't too bad for a cheapie lippy.
DeleteNot bad at all for a cheap lipstick, will definitely have to check this one out, thanks :)
DeleteI will definitely be checking out the Rimmel lipstick it looks soo pretty!

The lippy is definitely a great one, and has a yummy smell too!
DeleteI always end up repurchasing a lot of rimmel products that I try. Pink Blush is an absolute fave as well as the gel perfect match foundation and concealer and the sun bronze natural bronzer
ReplyDeleteRimmel is a great drugstore brand! I love their mascaras as well and loved the feel of the perfect match foundation when I tried it but I couldn't find a colour match for me :(. They were all too pink toned for me.
DeleteThis is the best type of post - We know you really love it when you repurchase! I have a list of makeup items I repurchase too, such as bases and some of the MAC eyeshadow shades. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's what I think too, when you repurchase stuff without even thinking about it that's when you know they're good!
DeleteJust started falling in love with MAC studio sculpt but i def think i will repurchase in the future
ReplyDeleteProbably my Giorgio Armani Master Corrector.. It does the job without looking like I'm wearing anything under my eyes.. love it!
ReplyDeleteOoh that Australis mascara sounds great, pity we can't get the brand in Ireland xxx
ReplyDeleteI like to mix it up, but i've been buying the same eyeliner over and over for years, from Miss Sporty. that may be changing though if i like the one i just bought from MUA.

Two faced natural eye is the best! I am almost out of that palette and will need to buy another. I'm thinking about buying the naked eye since they are kind of similar..

ReplyDeleteNice to meet a fellow Sydney blogger. I've just discovered your blog and have added you to my favourites. Definitely coming back :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for following Debs and nice to "meet" you. There are quite a few Sydney bloggers around so if you're on Twitter as well follow me there (@lilitsblog) and I'll introduce you to them :-)
DeleteMac studio sculpt is amazing! I really want to try out Benefit hoola bronzer. x
ReplyDeleteI want to try MAC Studio Sculpt next!
ReplyDeleteMy favourites are MAC Studio Fix, Revlon Liquid Liner and Clarins Flash Balm.
Have yet to find a foundation I really love.
Awesome blog by the way.
Bobbi Brown's Natural-Finish Long Lasting Foundation and Creamy Concealer Kit are 2 items that I always repurchase. Other than that, I've never repurchased any other makeup item before in my life. I tend to not finish things because I am always distracted by newer products that I love--but I've tried a few items lately that I am thinking might be my first ever repurchase!!! (Edward Bess Quad Royale in Monte Carlo and Burberry's Sheer Summer Glow, since it's LE)
ReplyDeleteooh wait--duh! And MUFE Aqua Eyes liner in 0L and CoverGirl Lash Blast Volume. The basics are what I tend repurchase
ReplyDeleteLover is such a gorgeous blush!
ReplyDeleteOh, fabulous list! I definitely could not live without my Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation and NARS Laguna bronzer. I will definitely have to get my paws on the Rimmel Pink Blush lipstick - looks divine!
ReplyDeleteLx
I use the Rimmel brow pencil religiously! I love it! I have yet to repurchase because I hardly need to sharpen it.
